Taiwan is an island located on the South East Asia Region administered by The Republic of China. It is considered as a province under the control of  Republic of China. Taiwan lies on the north of Philippines, on the south of Japan, and is bounded by South China Sea on the south, Pacific Ocean on the east, Taiwan strait on the west and East China Sea on the north. It covers an area of 35,801 square kilometers and is inhabited by more than 22 million people.

Each visitor to the country shall hold a valid passport for up to 6 months and must have a return flight ticket. Free 30 days visa will be entitled for citizens from Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Costa Rica, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Other nationalities shall apply visa at the available Taiwan embassy.
