The Airport Authority of Thailand has increased passenger service charge
or airport tax for state own airports from 01 January 2007 onwards. The new
passenger service charges are 700 Thai Baht for international sectors and 100
Thai Baht for domestic sectors with exception for airport in Koh Samui, Trat,
and Sukhothai. Charges at the three mentioned airports differ from other
airports as they are operated by private enterprise. Kindly see the table

The national air carries of Malaysia, Malaysia Airlines introduces
special airfares and holiday package for the period of 31 January to 13 February
2007. The airfares will be discounted up to 60% during the fair as stated

The Tourism Authority of Thailand targets to have 2008 tourist
arrivals from 20 million to 16 million. Mass tourism market will be avoided as
