The New Year festivities are over and we wish you all had a good holiday time! Have a great year 2007 with good health and prosperous business. The year however does not start without problems. Thailand still has some difficult path back to democracy and the recent bombings in Bangkok have shown that there will be obstacles. We are not expecting this task to be an easy one. Phuket however is far away from Bangkok politics, security is very good and there is no reason to worry. As tour operator or agent, it will be important to explain this to the traveler.

Another discussion recently in the news was the appreciation of the Thai Baht which was higher than any other currency in Asia. The unhealthy development is hurting exports and the tourism industry as well and despite the government trials to intervene, we expect the Baht to remain strong and even stronger during the year.
